Selena Gomez's 2019 Coachella outfit is dragged into Justin-Hailey drama

Just when we thought we’d had enough of the online drama involving Justin Bieber, Hailey Baldwin and Selena Gomez, the outfit donned by the latter at the 2019 Coachella festival has become the new conversation-stirrer.

Trolls have become obsessed with the couple’s marriage, drawing their own conclusions in the midst of rising rumors. From divorce remarks under the singer’s birthday post to fabricated videos of the former lovers, we have seen a lot. But wait, there’s more.

Even with Justin establishing in the past that he had nothing to do with Selena’s performance at Coachella 2019, the singer’s outfit has somehow gotten entangled in the nonsensical discussions on the Internet.

Selena has also made it clear more than once that she isn’t the one to encourage people’s opinions concerning her own or others’ personal lives.

TikTok users are sharing screenshots of Justin’s old Instagram post, which shows Selena Gomez’s name in his browser’s search history.

Even though Justin clarified in a row of comments shared back in the day that people were making a big deal out of something so silly, TikTok users have formed their own opinions about it.

Some of them have suggested that Justin was deliberately looking his ex-girlfriend up on the Internet while he was married to his wife. Others have gone up a level and claimed Hailey secretly searched for that before shutting down the trolls through Justin’s Instagram account.

The above narrative is very different from what the singer had previously explained, but people spreading these rumors have chosen to not present the singer’s perspective. Also, the word “outfit” is nowhere to be found in the picture.

And, even if Justin did search for his former girlfriend on the internet, fans aren’t sure what gives trolls the right to blow it out of proportion.

What Justin Bieber said after his ex was spotted in search history

It all started with a screenshot of an online article that Justin shared on Instagram to simply poke fun at a publication that spelled his name wrong in the headline. The said story claimed he walked out on his wife.

The left side of the picture showed a part of the singer’s browser history with links consisting of Selena and her fellow Coachella performers’ names.

When some pointed out that Justin and Hailey were stalking Selena among other ridiculous claims, Justin explained it was an accident.

He then added: “Please stop reading into things so much and making something out of nothing. The point of the video was supposed to be funny they were saying I walked out on Hailey and they spelled my name wrong this idea that I secretly plot on opening my history thing purposefully and zoom out just enough so you can see her name is crazy.

“These are real lives you guys are talking about real emotions stop acting like you know anything about anything.. go to school read your books and focus on your own personal life.”

Justin further explained that he and Hailey were watching his own Coachella performance when Selena’s performance video played next as it was in the related category.

“People have their own fantasies about how they think my life should go and make up all of these theories and use their imagination too much. This ends here, will never re-engage with this but had to set the record straight once and for all. We are adults. We’re not playing games. There always gonna be something.”

Fans slam the trolls

Genuine fans have slammed TikTok users for falsely interpreting the past incident and adding their own meaning to it.

One fan said: “Justin had explained why Selena’s name was on his screen. Don’t exaggerate.”

“The browser doesn’t even say that he looked up Selena’s outfit, you all are making things up,” said another.

A third one added: “I can’t even see her full name. This means nothing.”
